Do We Ever Stop Learning?
By · Comments“It's what you learn after you know it all that counts”-John Wooden
Successful people have a common trait: they are enthusiastic learners and remain that way forever. Those who have the know-it-all attitude, may miss a few opportunities. “Experts” strive to keep up with the times and learning new things every day - never resting on their laurels. how about you?
Learning constantly is the way to adapt well with changing times. Achieving your goals is a continuous process, and you can only achieve your goals when you are on the learning curve constantly. This is what I call remaining open and flexible to making “inflight adjustments”.
The world around you constantly changes and what you have been doing well today may not be as relevant tomorrow. New ideas and concepts come to the fore, and unless you adapt yourself to the changing realities and embrace the changes, you may just be left with your unrealized plans - stuck in “goal setting” but not actually achieving what you desire.
Success has never been a goal; in fact, it has been a continuous journey always. I have always considered goal setting simply the activity that helps you embark on the continuous journey.
For example, if you wanted to be stronger mentally, then you need to define what mental strength means to you. You can then set goals that will help you strengthen your mind. However, it is a continuous process and you will discover new things along the way. This is enriching and will equip you to take on life - and that is exciting!
New challenges will spring from here and there, and you will realize that what you learned before is a good foundation upon which you now are ready to build. This is why you want to keep learning new things. Sticking to older and irrelevant ideas is an example of being focused on the “how’s”. Akin to saying: “Nope, this is what I know and this is how I know to do it!”. Think of a few examples where this type of attitude could prove ineffective, and in some cases, even fatal.
It is also essential that you set smart goals (I look at SMART goals as being Significant, Measurable, Achievable, Rewarding, Timely) along the way and keep making those “inflight adjustments” to your plans according to the situation. Smart goals enable you to smoothly progress towards the final goal while learning a lesson or two along the way.
Ideally, break down your goals into smaller ones and nimbly proceed toward the bigger goal. One step at a time.
How Are You Doing On Your 2010 Goals?
By · CommentsGreat? Congratulations! And you need not read on.
Still struggling to achieve the goals you set this year? No worries, you still can & I've got good news for you.
Tonight I am making available 12 spots in my 8 week Charter Program- My Goals Achieved. This is the first time I am offering this type of program via live teleconference sessions.
To sign up go to http://www.mygoalsachieved.com and secure one of the 12 spots now.
I Created A Charter Program Just For You!
I teach a 3 step system to my one-on-one mentoring clients that is simple, easy to implement, repeatable and gets amazing results. My clients are thrilled with their outcomes and I am happy to assist them in achieving their desires. It works really well for all of us. And that could have easily been the end of the story but…..
Lately, I have been meeting more and more people who struggle with goal achievement, and knowing how easy it can be to accomplish goals, I decided to offer a charter program to help more people start reaching their dreams. I’m calling it a charter program because I have not offered it to a group as a teleseminar before.
If you are thinking that this must be yet another Goal Setting program, think again. This 3 step system is easy to implement, and gets repeatable results. It is simple yet incredibly effective and you can take action immediately (the right kind of action).
I promise you that if you are committed to achieving your goals, you want to grab one of the 12 spots and be part of the program.
Go to http://www.mygoalsachieved.com and sign up for one of the 12 spots now.
There are only 12 spots available. When these spots are filled, they are filled. I want to keep the group small so that I can work closely and effectively with each member.
I made this program really affordable. I did not want the cost of the program to be the reason you don't sign up.
3 Things The Charter Program Will Help You With:
- Get clear about what you want (yes, this may surprise even those of you who think that you are clear)
- Resonate with/Believe what you want to achieve (yes, this is an overlooked MUST & it’s easy)
- Make an actionable, fun plan to make it happen.
Isn’t it time to draw a line in the sand and finally decide to start making your goals a reality?
Let me ask you a question. 8 weeks from now, will you be celebrating success or will you still be looking at the goals you were hoping to accomplish this year?
Allow me to help you achieve your goals.
Wishing You Much Success!

Are You Feeling Pressured?

You’ve made your list and know what you want to accomplish but still can’t seem to push yourself in the direction you want to go. Does that feeling sound familiar? Are you feeling the pressures of society, family and possibly ones that are self inflicted? First and foremost understand that you are not alone. There are many that are experiencing the feelings you are experiencing.
The difference however, is that many will remain in the rut; the one where they are going and going and not getting to their destination. Making plans, goals and lists is just the beginning. Taking action is the most important next step. Push your fears aside and move forward. You may be saying to yourself, that is easier said than done, but it is possible. Perhaps you simply need help. Have you ever spoken to someone about your fears? Read More→
Think about your typical workday. Chances are, once you finished your morning cup of coffee or tea, there are about 15 dozen things that need to be accomplished, and all of them are demanding your attention right away. So, like any normal person, you prioritize the items, making a list. So which do you do first? If you’re like most people, you do what you can first, and what you take enjoyment from. This is a great way to boost your confidence, and get a wonderful and productive start to the day. However, there are those things on the list that you can’t do, and for many that nagging reality becomes a real obstacle. Read More→
What You Know You Can Do Will Define Your Future

Success today is often measured by what a person has accomplished. Landing the big contract, acing the midterm exam, even getting married and raising a wonderful family are often seen as successes to be marked off on some checklist somewhere. Indeed, from a young age, school children are taught to make a list of things to do, and mark them off in short order when the task is completed.
However, thinking this way can be limiting, especially if you’re not sure where your dreams and aspiration lie on the checklist before you. Read More→
