Part 5: 5 Essential Components To Achieving Your Goals

In the first 4 parts of the mini-course I introduced you to tools and processes specifically designed to help you clearly determine what you want. One of the most important processes you’ve learned is how to find out what is standing in the way of your goal achievement. And remember uncovering what stands in the way of your goal achievement is the Key to realizing your goals.

Contrast is a Must!

Remember to list what you don’t want, first . Keep the list to 10-15 core, non-negotiable items. Focusing on what you don’t want will help you uncover…

“WHY” you don’t want it.

“WHY” you don’t want something gives you the answer to what experience or emotion you would like to avoid. When you know what is blocking you and when you remove that block you achieve your desired result.

Did you know that the majority of your limiting beliefs are subconscious and therefore you are not aware that they are impacting your ability to accomplish your goals? Seriously, think about that. If you don’t know something is holding you back, what hope of success do you have?

What Do You Want?

Once you are clear about what you don’t want and you understand what is getting in the way of your goal achievement, you can quickly make a list of what you do want. Again, same principle, list 10-15 core items that you consider non-negotiable. Keep in mind though, making a list is good but…

Asking “WHY” gives you the power to achieve your desires.

Knowing why you want something is like putting gas in your car. Until you fuel your car up, it may be beautiful and it could be powerful, but it isn’t performing at maximum capacity.

If you want to see your goal accomplished you must feel the essence of what you want. Then and only then are you truly in progress of speedily achieving results.

Remember there are 5 Essential Components to Achieving Your Goals. No exceptions!

  1. Identify Contrast or Identify What You Don’t Want
  2. Understand Why You Don’t Want It
  3. Identify What You Do Want
  4. Eliminate The Limiting Beliefs That Prevent You From Achieving Your Goals

The 5th Essential Component

Although I haven’t covered this separately, I started to introduce you to it in part 2 of this mini-course. As you know, the quickest way to getting clear about what you want is to follow the process and use the first 4 components which lead you to understanding possible obstacles that stand between you and the goals you desire to achieve. Once you become aware of what limiting beliefs you hold, you must eliminate them.

Now there are various tools and methods developed specifically for the purpose of overcoming your inner obstacles, fears, limiting beliefs or whatever you may call them. And I have tried a few. Each has its benefits and at the end of the day it is a personal choice.

Use Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) To Eliminate Limiting Beliefs

Staying true to my nature of keeping it simple and living up to the promise I make to my clients of only recommending tools that I have personally used successfully, I chose the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). I have personally found it easy and incredibly effective and my clients have as well.

Remember, the best way to decide is to try it yourself.
